Everything You Need to Know About Our EMR Platform

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes. We charge a $50/mo minimum on the startup plan. We want to support you from the very beginning of your practice. This means you will pay $50/mo until you have 101 patients. For 101 patients you would pay $50.50/mo.

Is there an extra charge per prescriber?

Each extra prescriber costs a flat $50/mo. This does not count towards your per patient spend. E.g. 2 prescribers on the startup plan would pay the per patient total of $0.50/pt/mo at a $50/mo minimum + $50 for the extra prescriber = $100/mo minimum.

Do you allow for EPCS?

Yep! We charge an extra $15/mo per EPCS provider to cover our costs.

What is considered an active patient?

Any unique patient that is marked as active or that has some activity such as a new prescription or note. If you use one of our integrated billing solutions such as Hint then a patient is considered active if they are on an active membership plan.
 

Why price by active patients?

We want to support you as your practice grows. By charging per active patient we can offer a low-cost solution while you are in the early stages while also being incentivized to help you grow. Alignment of incentives is good in all businesses :)

What about non-member patients?

We do not charge extra for non-member patients. If you do not run a membership clinic then please contact us and we can discuss an appropriate pricing plan for you.

What if I am not a membership clinic?

No problem! We will work out a per-provider price for you. Contact us at info@akutehealth.com to discuss further.

Can I import records from my previous EMR to Akute Health?

Yes! Contact us at info@akutehealth.com and we will help you from there.

How does the free trial work?

You can use the EHR for free except for e-prescribing until you start seeing patients. If you want e-prescribe or you start seeing patients then your free trial will end.

Can I use this before my clinic opens for pre-enrollment?

Yes. The Akute Health EMR is free to use during pre-enrollment. Just email us your clinic open date and we won't charge you until then.

How many fax pages are included?

On our Growth plan Akute provides 1 fax number and no fixed limit on the number of fax pages (inbound + outbound) that is allowed. We do however monitor for abuse. We understand that healthcare is a fax heavy industry and sometimes you receive medical records that are several hundred pages. We don't want to punish you for doing your job.*

You can either port your existing number or get a completely new number.

* Akute reserves the right to charge you for fax overage if we feel that you are overusing the fax feature.
